Babysitting The Spawn of Evil… No, Really: Beelzebub Anime Review

Introduction

The story follows the “strongest juvenile delinquent”, Oga Tatsumi, a first year in “Ishiyama High” the school for delinquents. One day after a workout of pummeling weak foes next to a river he sees a man floating down it, he pulls him to shore and the man splits in half revealing a baby boy. This boy is the son of the demon king and he has been chosen as the one to raise it with the baby’s demon maid Hilda. The story follows his life with the child and at the delinquent school.

Review

This anime has some of the best comic relief for an action anime out there. The animation is great and character are memorable and all have unique back stories and personalities. Beware this anime contains mild infant nudity. As good as the action can get the pace si ruined by awkward fillers and comic relief. This anime would have been a better action anime than comedy which seems to be where it leans most. Despite the odd pace this anime is still recommendable to any anime viewer who enjoy the action genre.

This anime cries and charges its’ way onto receiving 4 Dashes of Battle out of 5

  1. Kai

This is a good anime but I don’t like the last arc + the ending. I think I will have to rely on the manga for that.

  2. Mild infant nudity? His penis was out the whole show! Haha. I did enjoy the show, unimpressed with the ending but I have seen worse and it was an enjoyable ride.
